Grassy gobbler

I found this enormous grasshopper sitting on my bromeliad.  Well maybe not enormous or I will be disqualified for Tiny Tuesday but it was big for a grasshopper.  I think it was having a bit of a munch on the flower - how very dare it!  

The bromeliad was given to me by a friend Gail.  Isbi, that Gail.  Don't you love how plants can be exchanged and shared.  Every time I look at it, particularly when it is out in flower I think of her.  Just like the clivias out the front which were given to me by a friend's mother, now passed.
