Western Springs

Measuring 6.5 meters across in diameter and weighing 16.3 tonnes, the flywheel at the Western Springs Pump House in Auckland used to help raise up to 13,600 cubic meters of water per day, 71.6 meters to the Ponsonby Reservoir, from 1877 to 1910.
