Hospital Day 3
The Sunday night was stable and quiet.
Monday and a new shift of doctors and nurses. Surely they would find out what was going on...
They didn't. What they did though was raise my hopes of getting home.
I'd been pain free for the whole day and they wanted to see if i could eat something and keep it down. 2 slices of plastic bread and "ham" from a creature unknown to science.
I scarfed it down.
And it stayed down.
"Can I go home now?"
"No."
We discovered that the hospital has a roof garden where lots of people go to have a cigarette (many with their IV-drips in tow). we were sitting there when this little brass quintet turned, up played 5 or 6 songs and then disappeared again.
It wasn't much, but it did cheer me up.
