Tuesday's tractor...
A Tuesday that thinks it's a Monday ! The shearers here for a 7.30 start, but only managed to clip the 100 that were shut in last night as it was too damp to bring any more in. They were away again by 10 am. Needless to say by this afternoon there was a bit of heat and a breeze and we could have got going again -if they had still been here !
Another day of lorries. Wood lorries in and out through out the day, an artic in for lambs, and an other artic in tonight with granular lime to try and save the barley that is dying on it's feet in one field.
One quad bike repaired, and another away to get an oil seal and bearings in the rear axle .
And 2 cows to bring in needing attention. One newly calved with teats like a bunch of bananas, and the other calved on Friday but has a very smelly retained cleaning. I won't be biting my finger nails for a day or two any way!
This tractor belongs to the tree fellers and has a winch on the back that they are using to make sure that each tree falls into the field and not onto the main road ! As with all timber tractors it is a fair age-this one is a K reg (at the start of the number) so around 1993
