A day that seemed endless is over

Rushed 'up the road' to moors to take some sunsets for 10 minutes before bedtime (not my bedtime)

We have been watching a Lapwing still sitting on eggs (we think for around 10 days now) - I must admit I didn't give it much chance but its still there each day. In the next field there was a Lapwing with 2 chicks that looked so small they could have been born today. Elsewhere some chick are now adult size. All this is so positive compared to the days a couple of years ago when we wondered if the Lapwings would just stop returning.

Snipe, Curlews, Wagtails, the Lapwings of course its like our nature reserve without the RSPB sign, car park, shop and cafe.

... and a Buzzard
