Flame

The Olympic flame passed my workplace today, so I had to get out to grab a shot of Pauline Walmsley carrying the torch as she ran by. University Avenue was mobbed - it really felt like a special moment despite grating evidence of corporate sponsorship.

This was the first time I've used my Canon 5D since I got my Fuji X100 a couple of weeks ago. Compared to the tiny X100, it felt like it was made of lead and every shutter slap sounded like a thunderbolt, but it's hard to argue with the sharpness of my beloved 70-200mm lens.
