Dartford crossing fiasco.
So, Grandpa has duly picked me up in his new Mercedes. It is lovely and lush. The Audi was getting frustrating for many reasons and was anyway a big compromise after trading in a brand new manual transmission A4 estate some years ago because Grandpa has always driven automatic and kept stalling it several times a day after trading in his much loved Saab 95 of ten years to get it - I hope you are still following me! We have duly reached the Dartford Crossing and there are severe tailbacks on the Northbound carriageway. Nobody is moving at all, we are all stationary and feeling very heated. I thought the reason that the toll booths came down in the first place was to ease the traffic flow and stop congestion on the carriageways. In reality the cost to each car is shockingly a lot more than £2.50!!! It's so shameful and in my opinion extremely selfish and somewhat greedy.
