North Edinburgh Cycle Path (at Ravelston Dykes)

After yesterday's masterclass on secluded sylvan shots on sunny days, I decided to ignore the example of a budding photography student and apply my usual brash and uncultured 'techniques' to this Cigs which has finally succumbed.

With older son's birthday imminent, I was out foraging for gifts for him at lunchtime (and more importantly the ingredients for his super chocolaty chocolate cake) that I'll need to construct tomorrow evening.

But whilst out, it seemed churlish not to blip this one. Another on the cycle commute for the best part of ten years when presumably Cigs was still learning his ABCigs. And now look at it. All grown up and tagging.

Double Cigs on metal sign, no dates but double exclamation marks!!

Anyway, shot done, I called the ambulance; the one on the right was largely OK, mostly a rash from nettle stings where she tumbled into the side of the path. The other one looked a bit pained and hadn't lost much blood, but was not standing up steadily.

So expect to see this photo on Crimewatch as the only pic of the wayward lycra lout.

Fame works in mysterious ways..
