K1
"This K1 kiosk was designed in 1921 by the GPO engineering department and was the first standard payphone kiosk to be introduced in this country.
It was restored in 1992 by volunteers from the Tunbridge Wells Payphone team and is now a listed building maintained by BT in recognition of its contribution to the local environment".
This is the notice inside this working phone box outside Tunbridge Wells cricket ground pavilion/bar which is the base for our Wednesday evening runs/walks. I had never bothered to look inside until tonight . I had noticed this white phone box before but thought it was just "Tunbridge Wells being fancy".
