Holding on

Our company left this afternoon after a great visit.  They're building a house on one of the other Gulf Islands, and we gave them a trailer that we don't need anymore.  It will be handy for them to haul building supplies,  just as it was for us when we were building.  I wandered around town for awhile after they left and took a few photos.  I always enjoy watching people tie up their boats then climb out onto the dock.
The extra is of a vehicle I'd never seen in town before.  I googled Feuerwehr, and according to Wikipedia, "The Feuerwehr (German for fire defence) is a number of German fire departments."    The word Notruf on the side means emergency number or call, so perhaps this was a vehicle that responded to emergencies.   The German courses I took at uni didn't help me at all.  :)
More friends arriving on the island today.  They aren't staying with us, but we'll spend as much time as possible with them before they leave on Saturday.
