Tiled Cafe
Into Leeds and back to the Tiled Cafe which is in the same building as the art gallery and Leeds library. The room is over a hundred years old and was part of the The Central Library built by the City Fathers next to the town hall to impress other Northern towns in the fight for supremacy to be the leading town in the later years of The Industrial Revolution. Many years later when I was reading for my degree it still contained books. This building also contained the museum.
All that has now changed , the museum is located elsewhere in the city and the library is relocated in another part of the building.
This left the Tiled Hall to be turned into a cafe.
Often full to capacity, this morning it had only a smattering of customers, leaving plenty of room to take photographs.
