Poppy Power

I know that poppies have appeared in lots of blips but I could not resist these flowers. They are growing beside a busy road in the town and there is an equally impressive display in the central roundabout opposite.  Apart from poppies, there are cornflowers and a vivid yellow poppy-like flower; it might be a variation of a poppy (one included as extra).  The bees are being very busy and it looks like they have a hard job ahead of them with all the buds still to emerge.

I have had a pleasant morning meeting various Camera club members - one to discuss a potential venue for a summer meeting and others in an art gallery, followed by the poppy photography.  Life is good!

Postscript:I returned much later on as the sun was sinking and managed to catch some backlight on the poppies - although this time it meant going onto the roundabout!  One more extra.
