Wells Cathedral
We visited the Bishop's Palace at Wells Cathedral today. This is the area where the wells spring and in the Middle Ages provided water for the town. Today it is a tranquil area beautifully planted surrounded by old walls and history. There were several pools of water and the moat around the Palace is just to hold the spring water. It has never been a defensive moat. Because of all the water and today's sun there were lots of glistening dragonflies.
