A gaggle of greylags

A lovely day. The weather commanded that I leave the house so I headed out to see where the car would take me. I ended up at Oare Marshes and it was tremendous. I got the scope out and spent more than half an hour watching an avocet preening. There were herons and egrets fishing, gadwalls tipping over and godwits balancing on one leg. There was a swan with half a dozen cygnets and tufted ducks looking swish (they do look swish do tufted ducks).  It was glorious. And to cap it all there was a sailing barge out on the river.

These greylags were on the west flood and were mobbing a crow which had the temerity to get close.

I've bunged in some extra images to try to give a sense of what was about.
