Departing from Carrog.

Thank you to my blip friends  for the nice comments and stars for my yesterday's blip:-)
Today we had a lovely day out with friends. We drove to Llangollen and went on the Llangollen railway by steam train to Corwen. The turnaround time was less than 5 minutes, so we stayed on the train and on the return journey got out at Carrog. There we had a coffee at the station café which was kept very much as it had been. The whole thing was a 'blast from the past' and most enjoyable!! We then walked to the local pub for a lovely lunch overlooking the river Dee and Welsh hills. We returned on the next train and then had a walk round Llangollen and visited Plas Newyedd, an old house with a very interesting history. We returned to our friends' house for a nice cup of tea before coming home.
