Aquilegia 'Crimson Star'
This is a puzzle. I first blipped this plant a few weeks ago when its blooms were pure white. In fact there is still one white bloom lower down on the plant. It is just one plant - all of it originates from the same base. If it had been a hybrid, I would have expected the white flowers to have some other colour streaking through the petals, and/or some white in this one. There are about 6 other buds with this colouring waiting to bloom.
The colouration of this one is what was displayed on the label when I bought the plant from the Garden Centre.
Is this normal for an Aquilegia?
I have also blipped a bee on our Pyracantha blossom, in Extra photos.
