Gardeners, help please!

A lady knocked the door today to ask me what variety of Iris this is. She has apparently searched the Internet for it and can only find an American one that looks like this.

I would love to have been able to answer in a knowledgeable manner but all I know is that it probably came in a bumper bag of mixed bulbs from Aldi, and I couldn't tell her that, could I?
