One advantage with an early start to the day for work - especially come the long daylight hours, is seeing some of the wildlife that is sometimes out and about.

Although I have seen hedgehogs before, it has been quite some time since I have seen one. The last time was in the short days of winter a good while ago, knowing then that it was too dark for me to take a photograph, that on the photo all one would see would be a fuzzy grey blob if they were lucky...

So my great surprise and delight this morning at coming across this one, on my way to work having just watched it cross a road, I took a quick shot as it carried on, then I kept a good distance and watched it as it carried on and disappeared under a hedgerow :-)
