Snipe

We were watching Snipe drumming at dusk - I tried to photograph them and they didn't give me much chance until ....

.... I packed the camera away and started to drive home. Only then did one pose perfectly on a fence post I stopped for a good look and it looked back. I tried to return with the camera but no it had gone - too dark but this will have to do.
