Yellow Water-lily, The yellow plomp (Nuphar lutea) is a common aquatic plant with floating leaves of the water lily family. The fruit is green and bottle-shaped and initially floats on the water. Later on the outer shell falls of the fruit and splits open, and the seeds emerge. These eventually sink to the bottom.
