Drying off...

...I have a series of images of this little one, which show a transformation from wet (yolkish?) bedragglement to fluffed-up baby. This one is the wing-stretching moment :-)

It's not the image I'd hoped for, having come nose to beak with a goldcrest earlier in the day. (Too surprised to take a snap).
The goldcrest must wait.

The red wine forecast has preceded itself (?) as I sit lead crystal in hand.
The ironing is done, AND I made soda bread earlier, with the addition of fresh thyme from the garden. (Which to be honest probably sounds nicer than it actually was?).

So.
