Swiss Chalet? Okay!

The title is an old tag line for Swiss Chalet restaurants - as Canadian a franchise as our (in)famous and ubiquitous Tim Horton's coffee shops. Swiss Chalet is a reliable favourite and dinner was good although the fries were overdone this time. This particular location is still new - about 14 months old and sports the new, more sophisticated decor. It is here in Aurora and now gives us two in town. Depending on where we are, we have a few regular spots. The Promenade Mall in Toronto has another very frequent stop in the plaza next door and is blipped here with the more traditional decor of the past decade or so.

It was rather quiet tonight since we dined in the 5 o'clock hour. Normally, it's packed after 6:30pm. The Canadian band The Barenaked Ladies made Swiss Chalet world famous when they mentioned them in their hit song One Week.
