Litter

How on Earth could the leavings of a tree ever be considered litter?  More/different seed pods from another tree shedding its seeds in anticipation of summer (which has arrived this week with 115°F + heat).  I looked really hard, but I couldn't find anything written in the seeds.  Please feel free to share any messages you might come across!
