Speckled Wood

A first for me.  Taken in the Dearne Valley Park in Barnsley yesterday afternoon.  We visited the park yesterday afternoon when we had an hour before Ann's hospital appointment for her CT scan.  We've driven by the park fairly frequently but never stopped before.  They done an amazing job on the route of the old Barnsley Canal, creating a fishing lake and also a wildlife pond (and also a skatepark).  Barnsley has some amazing parks and leisure areas - maybe it doesn't do enough to sell itself.

The household was manic and I escaped most of it, having been up at the allotment with Merv trying to make a start on taming the jungle.  Maybe I'm just going to have to give it up given the present circumstances.  Too much going on, too many people and mum was exhausted by the end of yesterday (as were we).
