Bougainvillea

I'm sorry I didn't do a blip yesterday. I was very tired and just didn't have the energy to do it. I know, a poor excuse. But, seriously I was struggling a bit yesterday after a long day at work, haircut, and traffic.

I was waiting to take a shot of a hummingbird at our new feeder and he/she didn't show up until after I put my camera away. So instead I took a shot of our Bougainvillea hanging plant that is sitting directly under the feeder. A curious phenomenon is taking place if you look closely, the grass under the plant is growing faster than the rest of the yard. Does anyone know why that is?
