(Not so) Alpine trough

I was a really interesting workshop today.

I made an alpine plant trough from a polystyrene box!

Pick a rock - BE the rock ..... BE inspired.....

Then pick away at your box, shape it, roughen it, scratch and scrape it.

(Briefly) heat seal the outside with a paint stripper gun (watch out for the toxic fumes)

Then carefully mix your shades of Masonry paint. Paint a nice layer(s) over the box.

Cover/sprinkle/squish with some nice grit

Ta daaaaa - a new (aged) rock trough!

Ready to plant (when it dries)
