Summer reading

I did my degree in Huddersfield, and have been following Simon Armitage's fiction and poetry for many years. He wrote a book on Iceland with Glyn Maxwell some years ago, which I love, and also produced a great documentary on Surtsey. I enjoyed the book on the Pennine Way, and will be taking this down to the SW to read over summer, if I can stop myself from reading it before then...

A few days after this image was taken, it was announced that Simon will be the next Professor of Poetry at Oxford University.
