Priorities
Took this picture a while ago in Vienna but I didn't have a story to go along with it. But now it came to me.
This December another "milestone" climate summit will take place in Paris. If you believe the science behind climate change, which I do (and apparently so does the Pope) then you will know we are living in a world that's becoming increasingly difficult to live in. And we know that it's us as human beings that have set off this trend. Instead of doing more to reduce our impact we pollute and speed up global warming putting the environment and ourselves (let alone our children) at peril.
Without going further into the discussion, this picture is a caricature of the problem or rather it's outcome. Nature is being driven out of the picture, so are we as human beings, til all that's left is the built environment except with no one left to use it.
It's never too late to rethink our priorities. Or is it?
