Spitting Mad
Loki showing Corra how he feels about her hip check into him.
Mr. Badger, the dogs, and I were all hanging out in the field next to our place after work this evening. Of course, no sooner had we sat down, but the clouds opened up and it started to rain. It wasn't really heavy or anything, but they were big drops. It was really refreshing. I asked if Mr. Badger minded waiting in the rain for a bit to see if a rainbow would show up. He agreed and played with the dogs in the rain. I have a lovely husband :3 No rainbow showed up, but it was refreshing all the same.
Also, today was the start of Chicken Season 2012! Starting last year, we signed up for a chicken subscription. Every other week we get two organic free range pasture raised chickens from the next town over. The farmer is awesome and we not only feel really good sourcing chickens who were humanely raised, supporting a local farm - they are delicious. I mean, Mr. Badger and I were dreaming about them since we ate the last one last fall. I roasted one up tonight with some veggies and mashed potatoes and it was magnificent (and it wasn't because of the chef ...). Mr. Badger also grabbed 10 lbs of chicken necks for the dogs, so we'll start stocking up for them as well :) Happy weekend!
