Porty People and Places
Fun in the sun ( and some long overdue summer warmth) this afternoon.
The queue for the free pony rides on the beach stretched for ever along the promenade.
It was a great fun filled event on the beach and in the water. Lady Findhorn caught the morning set up splendidly.
As the sun is not due to last long, we took off for Dirleton Castle in the afternoon and spent time in the wonderful gardens there. There was a wedding taking place in the castle.
As the sun refused to go away we carried on for a walk on the beaches at North Berwick.
As it was the eve of the summer solstice we celebrated with a seafood supper ... and reflected on how lucky we are, when the sun shines, to live on the southern coast of The Firth of Forth!
