Madman on beach today.

Madman takes a fresh ocean swim, spurred on by the promise of $10. Crazy!

He said it's a matter of psychology and calmly went into the freezing waters just to prove a point. I was impressed and happily handed over the money.

It would take $1000 or more for me to go swimming in this water in June.

I love the beach in winter, we took a long gorgeous walk, ate strawberries in the sun, sat up on the dunes and watched a 'pod'* of surfers catching waves and doing their thing, I had a chat with a fisherman and his dog and ran, yes actually ran, around with Fly and the girls....but swim, no chance.
