Winter solstice

Having come north to the beach house late yesterday afternoon, I had the chance of a Snells Beach sunrise with which to mark the solstice. A lot of cloud about, especially low on the horizon, and so this is a little after the time of sunrise (0732 according to the met office). I like the band of gold across the water of Kawau Bay.

The morning was spent reassembling the two book cases removed from the rooms, as the new lessees don't want to book shelves. That suits me, and I'v already put papers and books on to some of the shelves with more to come yet.

Had to spend the afternoon on a report, and a couple of letters. Some of S' marvellous soup, and then back to the city for another week of locum work.
