Happy Father's Day

We had a lovely celebration of Father's Day last night at a local Italian restaurant. Luke only finished work at 8pm so he met us there after work, and it was good that we could all be together as with Luke's shifts that is not always possible.

This morning the boys gave Gavin his present - a book on sailing that has the most amazing photographs. It is by a professional sailor who then turned photographer and it shows that the photographer knows how to photograph sailing boats in the best situations. Luke had to rush off to work again, but I managed a quick photo of all the boys with Gavin - see extra shot. (Thomas had just come out of the shower so his hair was wet and Luke was half dressed for work!)

This week we have a visitor staying, a daughter's friend who is doing a week's work experience at Gavin's office. Every year Gavin's company run a week's programme for senior school kids and this year there are eight of them on the programme. Our friends live quite far from London so that is why their daughter is staying with us, and I am delighted to have a girl in the house for a change!
