'Happy Winter Solstice'

To everyone in the Southern Hemisphere, and Summer solstice to everyone else.

Another beauty of a day today, although a freezing cold & crisp start to the day, but the sun was out shining all day.

Another fabulous gig this afternoon with my good buddy Ben Kelly with Steve Davies and Carmen Bric. They played in the secret room down in the basement at Sooki Lounge. It was a great intimate family friendly venue that all fits around 50 or 60 people in it, with rugs and cushions on the floor, a nice warm glow from the candles all around the place (as pictured here) and the music was just as brilliant as ever.

Home tonight for a Winter Solstice party at our house with some other friends and families from the school. Great company, great food, nice clear (and cold) night to have the fire lit out the back paddock and some mulled wine to sip on. What more could you ask for?
