Tall, yellow, five-petalled, alpine flower.

Am I alone in finding Alpine Flower books totally unhelpful and I have a book shelf full of them. This one says on the cover, Easy Identification, each flower is shown in its natural surroundings for quick and accurate recognition??? I open the book and in no time at all I have at least five possibilities??? I can picture you experts rolling your eyes and saying its bleedin obvious, its an alpine, silverweed, Dyer's greenwood, any fool can see that! Having said all this, identification help would be appreciated.
