I spy... a punt
Tom continues to believe that he can do everything - serious rowing, post-exam partying and a lucrative job on the punts too. It's less than a week to the Henley Qualifiers, where crews wanting to race have to prove they are fastest enough for the most elite rowing event in the world, and just seven days until they have to race up to Nottingham to trial to represent GB in next months big GB vs. France rowing match. They have a chance at both, but very stiff competition too.
Somewhere in between there's his school Prom and probably - judging by the queues at Magdalen Boathouse - a few more days working on the punts too.
I feel exhausted just thinking about it - maybe only 16 year olds can do it all, or believe that they can.
In other news, Josh finally agreed to get a new bike as I've been worried for weeks that his is so decrepit it is unsafe. He's been unfathomably reluctant. I will never understand boys!
