A Good Day

T and I had a lovely day today. I made myself get up around 6:30am like a school day- horrible! I had to as T wanted me to be at Waterloo by 10:30.

It was all grey and gloomy as I did my jobs and got ready. I was in a rush so I didn't get to see Little B before I went off, and I was a bit sad about that.

I made the fast train, but there was some sort of problem with signalling, plus it was Ascot, so the train was 30 mins late. T had been waiting there for 40 mins for me :-(

We hotfooted it through the huge crowds to the tube. We were going to Mile End to meet some of T's friends for a walk and lunch. The weather was a bit iffy and rain was threatening, plus my tummy hurt, so I wasn't 100%. We met the girls in Starbucks, only to find that they were all kitted out in sportswear for a hard core walk- I was in skinny jeans and ballet flats!

I was in two minds whether to go, but I joined in, and S and I had a good chat as we walked. We strolled through Victoria park and even got to play on some of the kids playground stuff! It was very pretty by the canal, and I enjoyed our walk. We walked through some of the Olympic park, which was really pretty, especially the flowers there.

I used my Fitbit app, and we walked 6.6km in an hour and twenty minutes, so not bad. T and his friends are all doing a step challenge in teams at work are all competing to see who can whack up the most on their pedometer.

We stopped at a place called The Print House in Stratford, which was really nice. We just had BBQ as the kitchen was closed, but we sat for a couple of hours drinking the free Mojitos :-) I was a little bit sozzled and a bit weary by the end! We decided to get an Uber home, as it was faster.

We went back to T's and had tea and snacks and a rest. T had already asked if we could go to the movies earlier in the week, but it's one of my least favourite things!

I said we should go, so he booked tickets for Jurassic world at the empire in Leicester Square.

It was a bit rainy but we took the bus to Waterloo, and then the tube to the Whole Foods store to get a few bits and eat dinner.

The movie was really good, and not only did I stay awake for allot it, I really enjoyed it! T was good company, and it was nice to do something he really wanted to do. We're definitely going to do this more often.

We were home by 11:30, showered and got into bed. A busy but really nice day.

I've managed to process some pics on my mum's iMac, so I'm posting now and editing the text later when I can do it on my iPad ;-)

shh!
