Red Weed

Trying out a long exposure filter for the first time. I bought a cheap-ish one, that said it would let infra-red through, but I didn't appreciate just how much. Everything looks like a scene from War of the Worlds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLhoXJWE4ps.

Also ND3.0 (aka ND1000) is barely enough for a sunny day .

On the positive side, my camera's viewfinder and focussing still work with the filter in place, so the process of taking pictures is more straightforward than I though it might be.
