Blur
In a strange series of events, we got tickets to see Blur for £2.50 each, and a free upgrade to the VIP viewing area! Despite an already busy day, there was no way we could turn that down!
The day started with a 6.10am wake-up call to drive Mum to the coach collection for her holiday, and was followed by a busy morning back at home finalising wedding playlists before G's parents came to visit with his Granddad. We spent a few hours with them having lunch and showing them the quay; timing our walk perfectly as lots of sailing boats from a local regatta came past. We then head up to London and made one final visit to my favourite ever vegetarian canteen which is sadly closing tomorrow. I've been visiting and eating there for the last 15 years, and it will be sorely missed. It was so nice to get an unexpected final visit in, despite them having sold out of their legendary scrunch. Then it was on to Hyde Park and to Blur. We met up with a few friends and had a wonderful time. I've seen the band quite a few times now, but they certainly put on a show tonight; the visuals were brilliant, and lots of older, rarer songs to keep us happy.
