Summer solstice
We drove Emma to Teisko, to her friend's grandparents' luxurious summer cottage. She'll stay there for three nights.
On the way home we stopped by the Aunesilta bridge in Kämmenniemi. The granite bridge from the 19th century was designed to be indestructible and fireproof. It is currently restricted for use by pedestrians and bicycles only. The longest single-valve bridge of its kind in the Nordic countries crosses Paarlahti which is the only inland fjord in the southern Finland.
Someone had put a lupine to a pine, I can't understand why, but it nicely repeats the shape of the bridge. It's kind of sad that today is the summer solstice. Summer hasn't properly even started, and yet days start to be shorter.
+16°C, cloudy
