Yellow cactus flower

The first of three flower buds on one of my cacti in the kitchen had opened up yesterday. This particular cactus has been flowering for so many years now that I can't remember anymore how long exactly but it must be more than 15 years. It often produces a second set of flowers a little later in the year.

This has been a difficult day for me again. Not because of anything specific. Just many little things adding up.

Thanks very much for the stars and heart on yesterday's blip, but especially for all the kind comments. They have made me feel somewhat less alone.
