Gandalf or E.T.?

With 10 hours between having to leave out boat and the flight home, we took a bus to Split. The old centre is beautiful with old buildings and winding streets and lots of cafés and shops. This statue is just outside the walls of the old town, not sure who he is or what he did but I loved his long boney fingers!
