Father's Day

Have had a bit of a mixture weatherwise today.   In the morning we had very heavy rain, and then the sun came out, and it has continued in much the same vein all day.  

The HG got thoroughly spoiled today; first of all G, A and E arrived, with a card and a present; it was lovely to sit with coffee and enjoy their chat.  We were a little late in leaving to go to C's for a Father's Day meal, however, she was fine about it and we had a lovely meal. Started with melon, then a chicken dish with sausage, chicken, onion, potatoes, all done in the oven, I believe a Nigella recipe, oh and with cabbage on the side.  And she knows her dad well, we had Sticky Toffee Pud for dessert.

And a lovely card and present too.  How lucky is he?

We had bought some sunflowers for her, as we have not had much sunshine lately, and I thought this would be a nice blip.
