Wayfarer's Walk

We headed over to Kingsclere this afternoon.  After our picnic we decided not to wander over Watership Down, which is our normal walk.  Instead, we set off towards Oakley on the Wayfarer's Walk. This is an ancient, long distant path between Walbury Hill, near Newbury and Emsworth on the South Coast.  It may have been a drover's route. We didn't actually go more than a couple of miles, but it was such a lovely afternoon.  Home for roast dinner.
