Had a nice meal with the family today and then went on to  Edinburgh for another meal (must go to the gym tomorrow) with friends followed by a visit to the Edinburgh Film Festival to see Last Days in the Desert. This is a new film directed by Rodrigo Garcia. The plot  plays out an imagined chapter from Jesus' forty days of fasting and praying in the desert. On his way out of the wilderness, Jesus struggles with the Devil over the fate of a family in crisis. Great scenery and photography (filmed in Californian desert), though the film is a slow burner with lots of pauses for dramatic effect and stunning scenery. Certainly different. Ewan McGregor starred in the film and was present hence the mass of photographers and members of the public seeking selfies with him. He is in the blip slightly to the right of the bald man in the middle. He gave a short speech to introduce the film.
