Somehow the incomplete building has an even stronger reinforcement of Edinburgh as the "Athens of the North" as it looks like many Greek ruins from a distance.

The views from Calton hill were as ever impressive and I could see both the Moon Walk tents in Inverleith Park and the Olympic Circles being placed on the Mound in the middle distance. Hopefully some blippers closer will record both events.
