Tea Plantation
I was surprised to find out that there are tea plantations on San Miguel. They produce only a small amount of tea so that it is not exported. This is the lovely view across the tea plantation at the Porto Formosa Tea Plantation.
We also visited the National Garden of San Miguel where I bumped into Laura, my helper from the accident. It was lovely to talk to her.
We also saw Lake Fogo - a crater lake high in the mountains.
At the end of the day we called into Ribeira Grande where we got a 60 Euros parking fine, so spent some time at the Police Station back in Porta Delgada. An eventful holiday!
