Volunteering

Started volunteering today with a local not-for-profit community based organisation.

As well as running a deli where all the bread etc is cooked on the premises , they promote food waste management, reducing our carbon foot print and run a Saturday market promoting local produce.

Another project is the community garden where a huge variety of vegetables are grown, for use in the deli and supplying local restaurants.

I spent today in the garden, planting up in the polytunnel and tending to the plots.

Good fun and hopefully something useful for my CV during my search to get back into full time employment!
