Thatched cottage.

This renovated 17th century thatched cottage is in Church Lane, Milton. (Thought to have been originally called Middle Town as it was between Cambridge and Ely, although , nearer Cambridge)  It looks as though several cottages have been made into one dwelling as I only saw one front door. Thatchers usually have their own pattern to decorate the top of the roof. As it is a private home, I was unable to see inside. No doubt there are the exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces which I have seen in similar cottages, As they are listed under English Heritage changes aren't usually allowed, only renovations in keeping with the original.
