Tiwi Island Art.....

We had an amazing experience yesterday flying to Tiwi islands 80 km north of Darwin spending a day with the indigenous people,who have lived there 7000 years as they expressed themselves with smoke ceremony,dancing which depicted there're everyday life....face painting,( with natural ochres) and here shell painting.Their beautifully painted funeral totem poles and history.....and tea and damper plus lunch together was a very,very special day......
